Flower Subscription FAQ
What's a Flower Subscription?
Our flower subscription service is an off shoot of our seasonal CSA shares. It is perfect for flower enthusiasts who want to enjoy our premium local flowers on an as-desired basis. It follows the same concepts of the Community Supported Agriculture model but provides subscription members with the ability to schedule deliveries for specific weeks during our February - October grow season. Subscription deliveries can also be directed to other addresses as gifts, and multiple deliveries can be scheduled for any given week.
Along the lines of our traditional CSA shares, our subscription members are buying share of the flowers grown on our farm. The beauty of the CSA model is that it enables farmers to better plan their crop to meet the demands of their subscribers and provides them with the working capital to fund operations when needed most - at planting time. The CSA model is shared risk and shared reward model, which means that when the harvest is aplenty you will reap the benefits of our hard work but farming also bring risks that we do our best to mitigate but can have unplanned effects on our harvest.
What is the difference between a flower subscription and a flower CSA share?
Seasonal CSA shares run for 10-consecutive weeks during the Spring, Summer and Fall harvest seasons. Members can receive either a weekly or bi-weekly share of our harvest. Our flower subscriptions are not tied to specific season. Subscription deliveries can be scheduled for any week between early February and the end of October. As with our CSA deliveries, subscription deliveries are available on Fridays and Saturdays each week.
